Kogi Youths Donate ₦100m to Support Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid
Youths from Kogi State have donated ₦100 million in support of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the gesture as a vote of confidence in his leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The donation was formally presented during a visit to the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja. The delegation was led by the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The group was received by the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, during a brief but symbolic ceremony at the party’s national secretariat.
Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo described the donation as a strong expression of grassroots support for President Tinubu, particularly among young Nigerians.
“This contribution by our youths clearly demonstrates their belief in President Tinubu’s leadership and their readiness to support him for another term,” Ododo said. “It sends a strong message that the people of Kogi State stand firmly with him.”
He noted that the gesture reflects the confidence of Kogi youths in the President’s vision and ongoing reform agenda.
In his remarks, the APC National Chairman commended the youths for what he described as a patriotic and voluntary act. He said the donation underscores the growing political consciousness and engagement of young Nigerians, adding that such support is reassuring for the party’s future.
Yilwatda further remarked that with the ₦100 million raised, there would be no need for additional fundraising toward the purchase of the party’s presidential nomination form.
The donation, according to the organisers, is specifically marked for the purchase of the APC presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 elections.
Representatives of the Kogi youths explained that the funds were mobilised through community-based contributions and grassroots fundraising efforts.
They attributed the widespread enthusiasm to the President’s reforms in infrastructure development, security and economic growth.
