A two-year-old boy has been injured in a brutal gang attack that left a man fighting for his life with multiple stab wounds.
A 24-year-old man was attacked by a gang outside the pub, near to the town centre, and stabbed several times.
He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries, where he remains today in a critical condition.
Shockingly, a two-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with minor injuries he suffered during the attack.
Emergency services were called to reports of a fight outside the Flower Pot pub in West Bromwich in the West Midlands just before 6.40 pm last night.
Detective Sergeant Paul Cook, from West Midlands Police CID, said: ‘I understand the concerns of the community and would like to offer reassurance that we’re doing all we can to establish what happened yesterday and find those responsible.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson added: ‘We were called at 6.37 pm to reports of a man who has been assaulted by a number of others; they had left the scene.
‘We sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car.
‘On arrival, they found a man who had been badly hurt with a large crowd of onlookers at the scene.
‘A man in 20s was treated for serious injuries and taken on blue lights to the hospital with the critical care paramedic travelling.
