A pregnant woman who was in labour has died over police negligence and stance to prevent people from going out during the lockdown caused by the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.

Remember that the Federal Government excluded people on medical and essential services which also includes people who might need medical attention.
The incident which happened in Waterside, Ogun State left the youths livid as they protested over the death of the woman.
According to the eye witness, some people are already working to ‘sweep the issue under the carpet’ and move on with their ‘impunity’.
‘Earlier today, a woman in labour, bleeding profusely, was killed by officers of @PoliceNG in Waterside, Ogun State. She was prevented to proceed to the hospital for proper medical care due to the lockdown directives. This is the height of impunity, the woman must not die in vain.’
‘Livid youths are already protesting over the killing of the woman at the Police Station. I’ve been reliably informed that some influential people are trying to sweep the issue under the carpet. Let them be quickly informed that this matter will pursued to a logical conclusion.
Justice must not just be done to the life wasted, it must be seen to have been done. While I’m sure the Ogun State Police Command would deny the facts and come with bogus lies, they must be told that the truth is sacred. Impunity would have no place in this country.
A failed system killed its citizen.
May her soul rest well.’
