The Commissioner for Water Resources Kogi State, Mr Abdulmumuni Danga, have been arrested for alleged rape, battery and assault of one Miss Elizabeth Oyeniyi.
According to human activist Segun Awosanya, stated that the Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello tried to release the man despite the crime levelled against him.
The Commissioner is said to be making a statement at the moment at the police headquarters.
Segun also disclosed that the lady, Elizabeth, was made to make some endearing posts on Facebook to give the impression that it was consensual sex.
Segun said, “They made a call to Elizabeth telling her she can be killed by the whim of she refuses to let it go. They dictated several Facebook posts to her to make in order to be free from their crosshairs. The police have this on the record. That man must not be let off the hook.”
He called on the Inspector General of Police to ensure justice is served and also charged to court with the evidence gathered.
