Uganda Election: Museveni Elected for the Sixth Term
The Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has won a sixth term in office with 58.6 percent of the vote, in an election he ran alongside his biggest rival Bobi Wine who trailed with a 34.8 percent.
The Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has won a sixth term in office with 58.6 percent of the vote, in an election he ran alongside his biggest rival Bobi Wine who trailed with a 34.8 percent.

The electoral commission has on Saturday announced the result of the election after three days.

“The electoral commission declares Yoweri Museveni… elected President of the Republic of Uganda,” said election commission chairman Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama.
The Ugandans earlier complained about the shut down of internet services in the country few days to the election.
Bobi Wine also complained about the military invasion of his house in the country and the election which was marred with fraud.
