Twenty-two governors of the All Progressive Congress, APC are threatening to decamp to the Peoples’ Democratic Party after failing to clinch the party ticket to the red chamber.
This was made known by the former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode on Wednesday through his Twitter page.
FFK as popularly known advised the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and the Secretary Senator Iyiola Omisore, of the ruling party to reach out to the governors involved and settle the dispute amicably.

“22 APC Senators are threatening to decamp to PDP because they have been denied the tickets to return to the Senate. This is a serious. Something must be done to stop it. Many are concerned & we urge our able Nat. Chairman & Nat. Sec. to reach them. We cannot afford to lose them.”
Recall that the Governor of Cross River State Professor Ben Ayade failed to clinch the party ticket to represent his Senatorial District in his quest for the party’s presidential ticket.
The APC also submitted the name of the Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the representative for Yobe North Senatorial District even though he didn’t participate in the primaries which were rightfully won by Bashir Mashina Sheriff.
