Five Suspected Kidnappers Arrested, Decomposing Corpses Recovered
Five suspected kidnappers have been arrested by the Imo Police Command Special Tactical Unit led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma in conjunction with local hunters after it busted their hideout in Avu-Ihiagwa forest on Monday.

Five suspected kidnappers have been arrested by the Imo Police Command Special Tactical Unit led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma in conjunction with local hunters after it busted their hideout in Avu-Ihiagwa forest on Monday.
The five kidnappers, 30-year-old Muazu Awuta, 32-year-old Abdullahi Abubakar, 25-year-old Ozeru Sabo, 27-year-old Saddam Suleiman, and 28-year-old Bashir Yahaya hail from Jau Local Government area of Jigawa State.
The Command also stated that it found two decomposing unidentified corpses suspected to be kidnapped victims and other items like telephones, wristwatches, shoes, and slippers were recovered.


It revealed that DNA tests will be conducted to ascertain the identity of the corpses.
According to a statement by ASP Okoye Henry, the spokesperson of the Command on Tuesday, the suspects have provided useful information which will lead to the arrest of the syndicates who are at large.
Five operational motorcycles of the suspected kidnappers were also recovered.
