The Enugu State Police Command has arrested seven suspects for conspiracy and armed robbery based on credible intelligence and reports received at the Unity Police Division.
The suspects are Chetachukwu Okolo (32 years old), Ogwuche Chukwuemeka, also known as “Shenkes” (22 years old), Ifeanyi Okoye (29 years old), Sopuruchukwu Odenigbo, also known as “Jadon” (28 years old), Onyebuchi Ukwu (20 years old), Chukwuebuka Chukwu, also known as “Kobo” (25 years old), and Mmaduabuchi Ukeh (25 years old). They were apprehended for their involvement in the robbery.
Detectives from the Enugu State Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recovered firearms, ammunition, machetes, and items believed to be stolen.

According to SP Daniel Ndukwe, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, the report indicated that unidentified armed robbers invaded the community of Ibagwa-Nike, Enugu, and robbed residents of their valuables on February 3 and 6, 2025.
Following the transfer of the case, detectives from the Anti-Robbery Section (D9) launched an intelligence-guided investigation that led to the arrest of the seven male suspects.
Recovered items, which include SIM cards, identification cards, clothing, supplements, and other stolen goods, have been identified by their owners.
Additionally, officers confiscated one pump-action gun, two locally made pistols, two live cartridges, and two machetes. The suspects have confessed to the crime and will be arraigned in court once the investigation is complete.
