At a high-level retreat held today at the Marriot Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) introduced a range of cutting-edge digital solutions aimed at modernizing and improving the electoral process across the country.
In his keynote address, INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu highlighted the transformative potential of the newly launched technologies.
“These digital platforms reflect our dedication to building a more transparent, efficient, and credible electoral system,” he said. “From training personnel to managing results, these tools are designed to enhance every aspect of election administration.”

The showcased digital tools include:
- CROMS (Collation & Returning Officers Management System) – streamlines the selection and deployment of collation officers.
- ERMS (Election Results Management System) – enables secure and real-time transmission and collation of election results.
- VETS (Virtual Election Training System) – delivers remote training modules for electoral officials.
- PFRAS (Political Party Financial Reporting System) – ensures accountability in political party campaign financing.
- EMSC Dashboard (Election Monitoring & Support Center) – offers real-time oversight of election logistics and operations.
- EFLOC (Electoral Facility Locator) – helps voters locate polling units and electoral facilities easily.
The event forms part of INEC’s broader effort to integrate digital innovation into Nigeria’s democratic processes and to prepare for future elections with greater reliability and public trust.
