Nigeria’s Super Eagles have officially kicked off preparations for the 2025 Unity Cup, with 20 players already in camp in London ahead of their much-anticipated opener against West African arch-rivals Ghana on Wednesday.

The squad, a mix of seasoned internationals and promising home-based talent, is camped at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium, where the opening fixture of the four-nation tournament will take place.

Headlining the list of early arrivals are Europe-based stars Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Nathan Tella, Frank Onyeka, Semi Ajayi, and Cyriel Dessers. Team captain Ahmed Musa has also reported to camp, bringing with him invaluable experience, while Bundesliga defender Felix Agu and Slavia Prague centre-back Igho Ogbu are among the notable inclusions.

The Unity Cup, scheduled from May 27 to 31, features Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago. It aims to foster unity through football and cultural exchange among nations with deep African and Caribbean heritage.

Players currently in camp:
Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Kelechi Iheanacho, Semi Ajayi, Frank Onyeka, Nathan Tella, Cyriel Dessers, Felix Agu, Igho Ogbu, Wilfred Ndidi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Junior Nduka, Sadiq Ismaila, Waliu Ojetoye, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Papa Mustapha, Saviour Isaac, Collins Ugwueze, Sikiru Alimi, and Abubakar Adamu.

Players expected to join soon include:
Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye, Amas Obasogie, Chrisantus Uche, Samuel Chukwueze, and Tolu Arokodare.

With the spotlight firmly on the Unity Cup opener, all eyes will be on the Super Eagles as they aim to assert their dominance against a strong Ghanaian side in what promises to be a fiery West African derby.
