The Eze Aro of Arochukwu Kingdom, His Eminence Dr Eberechukwu Oji, has reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education and youth development following a courtesy visit by the Provost of Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu (ASCETA) Dr. (Mrs.) Idowu O. Eluwa, and members of the institution’s Admission Drive Team.

The visit, which took place at the royal palace, aimed to strengthen collaboration between ASCETA and the host community, as well as deepen ongoing admission and development initiatives designed to benefit the people of Arochukwu and its environs.

Welcoming the delegation, the monarch expressed appreciation for the institution’s outreach and its recognition of the vital role traditional leadership plays in community development. He listened attentively to the team’s presentation, which highlighted efforts to boost student enrollment, expand access to technical and vocational education, and foster stronger ties with the local population.

In his response, Dr Oji emphasised that education remains a cornerstone of the kingdom’s future and pledged to help galvanise financial support for students who are genuinely unable to meet their academic obligations. He stressed that no willing and capable student should be denied the opportunity to pursue education due to financial constraints.

The Eze Aro noted that the engagement underscored a shared responsibility between educational institutions, traditional authorities, and the wider community to promote access to quality education, encourage skills acquisition, and create sustainable pathways for youth empowerment.

According to him, sustained partnership and purposeful collaboration are essential to raising a generation equipped for service, leadership, and progress, not only in Arochukwu but beyond.
