Human Rights activist and convener of ConcernedNigeria Deji Adeyanju he started that the SSS was behind his attack last week.
Deji was beaten by thugs last week while submitting a petition for the release of the convener of RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore. He was beaten by thugs who were shouting ‘Sai baba’ on a video released on the internet.
He stated this through his Twitter handle saying that the SSS failed with their gunpoint bribing strategy and then contacted the thugs to finish him.
Deji wrote on his Twitter account…
“The SSS behind my attack. After they failed with their gunpoint bribing strategy, they decided to finish me up by contracting thugs & miscreants. They contracted one Ali from Kano who subcontracted the tout that led the thugs who attacked me.
“They hired the same people to protest at Sowore’s court & had planned the same attack on Sowore if his rearrest was unsuccessful. The leadership of this SSS is the worst in the history of Nigeria. That is why ordinary gathering intelligence on prevention of Boko Haram has become a mirage.”
Also, Deji was beaten up and subsequently flown out of the country to receive treatment.
Recall that Omoyele Sowore was released after the USA wrote to the President, Muhammadu Buhari to uphold the rule of law since Nigeria was a practising Democratic country.
