The former President of the National Assembly, Alhaji Bukola Saraki has stated that it is sad that the reason for the #EndSARS protest has not been met, one year after.

While commiserating with the families of victims of innocent protesters who lost their lives while exercising their constitutional rights, Saraki called for justice and police reforms in the country.
Dr Saraki further revealed that none of the perpetrators of the attack on 20th October 2020 has been prosecuted despite being identified.
He chastised the government for not learning from the incident as there has been no improvement in the funding or quality of equipment made available to the Nigeria Police Force.
Recall that youths of Nigeria had five demands which embroidered on justice for victims of police brutality, set up of a panel of investigation which was set up in almost all states as directed by the Federal Government and others.
But sadly, there was no persecution and the identified culprits are still free while there has not been any improvement in the living condition of the Nigerian Police.
