Autopsy Reveals Sylvester Oromoni Died of Lung Injury

The family of the late Sylvester Oromoni has accused the Lagos State Government of siding with Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, where cultists allegedly inflicted injuries on the teenager before his death.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Perris Oromoni, a relative of the deceased, said the family waited for the Lagos State Government to conduct a second autopsy and ensure justice but they were rather acting funny.

He said, “Lagos State Government has decided to go in Favor of Dowen College, Lagos, and the murderers involved…No be fight. Can the Lagos State Government please release their own autopsy?”

Another relative, @Wakajugbe, tweeted on Saturday that the Lagos State Police Command had refused to release the report of the second autopsy conducted on Sylvester’s body since December 2, 2021.

Bring the autopsy report to the family… I want the world to know what the Lagos Command of the @PoliceNG is doing. I want you guys to please retweet this till the world see and know that the Nigerian police force is trying 2 deny #JusticeForSylvester

According to @Wakajugbe, the first autopsy conducted in Warri, Delta State, revealed that Oromoni Jnr. died due to acute lung infection caused by chemical intoxication in a background of “blunt force trauma”.

FIJ made several calls to CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, Lagos State police spokesperson, but they were not answered. At press time, he had also not responded to a text message sent to his phone.

Sylvester Oromoni Jnr. died on November 30, 2021, after experiencing serious pain from injuries allegedly inflicted upon him by a cult group at Dowen College.
