Abiriba Experienced Significant Development During My Tenure – Orji Kalu

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing the Abia North Senatorial District, stated that Abiriba experienced significant development during his tenure as Governor of Abia State. He emphasized the importance of supporting Chief Kelvin Jombo for the Federal House of Representatives.

This statement was made during a reception at Abiriba Stadium on Friday, celebrating Chief Kelvin Jombo’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Kalu highlighted that Abiriba is a blessed community and noted that the infrastructure put in place by Chief Jombo requires strong community support. He urged the attendees to rally behind Jombo, saying, “Follow Kelvin. A father hopes for his child to surpass him. Ikechi Anya and Kelvin Jombo should encourage others to join the ruling party. Ask yourself what Kelvin wants and take action to support him. He has earned your trust and deserves to be your representative.”

He continued, “I want to thank everyone here for welcoming Kelvin into our party. We are the largest political party in Nigeria, and we are confident in our ability to win elections. Ignore what people say on social media. Reforms may be challenging, but everything we need is available in our Senatorial District. Support Kelvin and our party. We will reclaim our honour, not just here, but throughout Abia State, Anambra, and other states. We are committed to working for the well-being of the common man and strengthening our institutions. We will also create opportunities for individuals to regain seats in government.”

In response, the Youth Leader of the APC in Abiriba, Kalu Edward Okorocha, expressed gratitude to Senator Kalu for his contributions to the community’s development. He emphasized that even though reforms are difficult, President Bola Tinubu should recognize that people are struggling and are unable to meet their basic needs. He assured that Abiriba will continue to provide the necessary support to the APC.

The event concluded with the handover of party cards and brooms to Chief Kelvin Jombo and Chief Ikechi Anya.
