Four suspects, Chimezie Ezebuo, Chinaza Ndimani, Chinecherem Okafor, and Nzube Azubuike, all males from Okohia, Ihiala Local Government Area, were arrested on April 10, 2025, at 2:53 PM for threatening kidnapping and abduction in Anambra State.
According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer, this arrest followed an extensive investigation by the Joint Security Force in Ihiala.
They acted on information received over time regarding faceless individuals and criminals threatening kidnapping, abduction, violence, and cyberstalking against innocent people in the state.

SP Ikenga expressed appreciation for the improved security stability in Ihiala and thanked the community for their cooperation and resilience in identifying criminal elements in the area.
He affirmed that the State Police Command is committed to maintaining public safety and ensuring that individuals who incite fear or disturb public peace are held accountable for their actions.
The operatives recovered phones and SIM cards from the suspects, which were used to threaten their victims, causing panic in the area and undermining the efforts of security agencies and the overall safety of the state. All the suspects confessed to their crimes and are currently in custody for further interrogation.
