Controversy Grows Over Party Alignment and Ambitions of Uche Ogah
Tensions continue to rise in Abia’s political space as strong allegations and criticisms have been directed at former Minister, Uche Ogah, over his political stance and perceived ambition ahead of future governorship contests.

In a statement circulating online, Ogah was accused of being “desperate for power” and allegedly positioning himself for the 2031 governorship race, despite claims to the contrary. The statement further questioned his political consistency, accusing him of playing both sides within the APC and aligning with figures in the Labour Party.
The commentary also referenced his previous role as a minister under the APC-led federal government and his involvement as a zonal chairman during the 2023 presidential campaign, alleging that his actions during that period contradicted party expectations.
Additionally, concerns were raised about what was described as a “mix-and-confuse” political approach, with claims that Ogah is simultaneously maintaining ties across multiple political platforms, creating uncertainty about his true alignment.
The statement also alluded to internal party actions, including his reported suspension, suggesting that recent developments may have validated earlier concerns about his loyalty to party structures.
Furthermore, questions were raised regarding his financial background and political dealings, although no official confirmation or evidence was provided to substantiate those claims.
The message concluded by urging clarity in political alignment and warning against what it described as deceptive political positioning, emphasizing that “Abians are wiser” and increasingly attentive to political conduct.
As of the time of this report, Uche Ogah has not issued any official response to the allegations.
The situation reflects the growing intensity of political discourse in Abia State as stakeholders continue to position themselves ahead of future electoral cycles.
