COVID-19: Cross River Set to Open Schools, Goes into Massive Production of PPEs
Cross River State Government have stated it plans to reopen schools with the massive production of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the State.
Cross River State Government have stated its plans to reopen schools with the massive production of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the State for school children and health care workers.

The Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade said this while inspecting the clothing factory in the state which was also in charge of producing the PPEs.
He stated that he has seen countries that reopened schools but had to shut it due to the high spread of COVID-19 in the country.
“The tactic is to protect the school children while the school. How long are we going to wait as a country? Perhaps, it is time we accept it that the virus is here to stay. So for Cross River State, we have a strong commitment, young children cannot continue to stay at home.”
“The more they stay, the more the increase in moral decadence, indiscipline, the more they become very lazy to go back to school. At every stage in life, there is a time you have to be in class. Once children leave that delicate phase, it becomes dangerous. We do not know how long this is going to take.”
“With a nose mask and a shield to school, you can remove the shield in school and use your face mask to allow easy ventilation and because the virus does not go through the shield but on a direct contact so one is always protected. So Cross River State will want the school to start because we care. We will support our public schools with the shield but for our health care workers, they will have the full provision for PPE at no cost from our primary health care to secondary and health care in the State.”
The Governor further welcomed the people to the clothing factory to procure their PPEs and stay safe.
