The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has promised that when elected, his government will engage in the breaking of shackles of; poverty, ignorance, and lies and consequently enthrone the rain off; Love, unity, progress, and prosperity.
Tinubu while canvassing the vote of Imolites and South East people during the grand finale of his South East campaign rallies , held in Imo State yesterday, said the government of President Muhammadu Buhari has fortified the foundation of the country which the PDP put in ruins for eight years and promised to build massively on the fortified foundation.
He assured that if elected, his government will make Imo one of the most attractive states in Nigeria, with enhanced tourism facilities, attraction and also add value to the real estate potentials of the state, as well as reconstruct and recertify federal roads leading to and crisscrossing the state.
Fielding questions from newsmen on the significance of the rally, the Chief Political Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu expressed joy at the important position Imo has assumed in South East and Nigeria at large, for the fact that Imo is among the states that has hosted the president the most, within the last three years of Governor Uzodimma led administration.
He expressed desire for Nigeria to remain an indivisible entity where people from diverse ethnic nationalities, tribe, language and religion will coexist peacefully and in love for each other.
He made it clear that Igbos are the most travelled and progressive minded tribe in Nigeria and will continue to benefit the most if the country remain together.
According to Onuegbu, the governor, through his achievements so far in office has not left any one in doubt about his capacity to deliver, as he has been fulfilling his campaign promises to Imo people.
“So what is left is for Imo people to vote for APC and make sure that the state aligns with government at the centre, so as to enjoy more dividends of democracy trickling down from the federal government.
“We cannot make progress under war, we cannot make progress under terrorism or machinery activities”. Onuegbu enthused.
