2027: Orji Kalu’s Win Will Also Benefit Abia Central – Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji

Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, has declared his support for the re-election of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in 2027, stating that his move to the National Assembly will not only benefit the people of Abia North but also Abia Central, as the Senatorial District, might have been disenfranchised from the centre.

Speaking on Friday at the First Quarter Meeting of OUK Movement, Reality Organisation, and APC Tripartite at Camp Neye Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Hon. Orji stated that with the success of both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu, it will ensure that Abia is never left behind.

He mentioned that although he is not from Abia North, he has seen the capacity of Senator Orji and urged the people to give him maximum support.

“I’m not from Abia North but I’ve not seen anybody who will stop OUK from going back to the Senate. This is not about insulting on social media, the government is all about showing capacity.”

While appreciating the support of the people, he stated that every politician who represents their people stems from grassroots support structures.

“The stage that Orji Uzor Kalu has made me reach made me fearless. I’m not scared of being threatened or intimidated. OUK and my father Theodore Orji made me who I am today so I’ve no fear whatsoever. Politics is local and we know how to play it.”

He also urged the people not to be intimidated or afraid, as every citizen of Abia State has the right to contest in elections.
