Eze Eberechukwu Oji Marks First Coronation Anniversary, Reveals Plans to Position Arochukwu Kingdom as Economic Powerhouse

In line with keeping with the developmental strides of his administration under the Aro Renaissance, His Eminence Eze Dr Eberechukwu Oji stated that the Aro Kingdom Sovereign Wealth Fund will be launched to harness the collective resources to invest in critical sectors such as agriculture, tourism, economy and technology, building intergenerational wealth and positioning Arochukwu as an economic power house in the South East region.

Speaking at his first Coronation Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, Eze Aro the 9th emphasised that his vision for the Arochukwu Kingdom involves developing industrial parks, Universities, Media centres and called on investors to key into the project, which promises to bring prosperity for the people.

His Eminence also revealed that a plan is underway to establish the Royal Care Empowerment Foundation, ROCARE, to support the less privileged in society, emphasising the mandate of the foundation to include providing healthcare, education, skills acquisition and economic support to vulnerable families in Arochukwu Kingdom.

Assuring that no one and nothing will be left behind, Dr Eberechukwu Oji stated that a tourism ecosystem that will attract visitors to the Kingdom is being created, which will boost local businesses and further boost the economy of the Kingdom.

While reeling out the achievement for the first year which includes empowering over 2,000 Umu Aro with skills acquisition training, revolutionizing the judicial system as cases now commence at the Ezi (compound) level before progressing to the Ogo (Eze-Ogo in Council), resolving Nzuko Aro Worldwide leadership crisis which restored harmony and strengthened its global community and introducing Ububo Eze Aro n’Umu Aro Zoom platform which has connected Umu Aro Worldwide, he charged Umu Aro to stay in peace and remember that the Kingdom is rising. The talents, resources, and patriotism are needed to build a vision for the new era.

Contributing, the Governor Dr Alex Otti, ably represented by the Mayor of Arochukwu LGA, Dr Chibuike Ezearu, commended His Eminence Eze Eberechukwu Oji on his first coronation anniversary celebration and welcomed the people while assuring that the people are in good hands and that they made the right choice and wished His Eminence goodwill.

In his welcome address, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mazi Obioha Chijioke, stated that His Eminence Eze Eberechukwu Oji has gone beyond mundane leadership and fulfilled his commitments to the people of Arochukwu Kingdom. He applauded His Eminence’s engagement with the Aro Diaspora, which has further cemented the shared cultural identity, which remains vibrant and relevant. He prayed that the laid foundation of hope, unity, and progress will remain vibrant and sustainable with the collective efforts of Umu Aro.

In his address, the President-General of Nzuko Aro Worldwide, Mazi Nnadozie Udensi, said that the essence of the Coronation Anniversary was not only to celebrate His Eminence Eze Eberechukwu Oji but to celebrate a year of cultural renaissance, visionary leadership and the reaffirmation of Aro identity. He called for the continued support of His Eminence in all projects mapped out for the development of Arochukwu Kingdom.

The highlight of the event was the commendation by the different groups and associations of Arochukwu Kingdom, both home and abroad, the State and Federal Government, including expatriates all around the world.
