One person has died following the sinking of jack up barge in Escravos, Delta State on Monday.
The Jack up barges which are also known as jack up rigs are used as a stable base for the construction and servicing of overwater structures including drilling platforms, bridges and wind turbines sunk today.
The corpse has not been identified as authorities are yet to respond to the emergency calls.
