Tragic! Madonna Students Traveling to Taraba Involved in Fatal Accident

About eight students Of Madonna University, Elele Campus in Rivers State have reportedly died in an accident at TTC/Special Science School junction along the trans-Saharan road in Ebonyi State on Saturday evening.

The bus was on its way to Taraba State from Port Harcourt and was conveying some students from Madonna University with some of the parents who are returning to Taraba State for a break due to upcoming elections.

It was gathered that eight students and a parent are the ashes burnt beyond recognition while about 7 persons who escaped from the bus when it caught fire after colliding with a Sienna Bus were in bad condition at the Federal Teaching Hospitals Abakiliki.

Meanwhile, some soldiers accompanied relatives of the victims from Taraba State to the scene of the accident on Sunday evening.

The National University Commission has permitted Universities to embark on a break from the 22nd of February to enable students to exercise their franchise in the upcoming general elections.
