FG Declares June 6th and 9th Public Holidays
The Federal Government has officially declared Friday, June 6th, and Monday, June 9th, 2025, as public holidays in commemoration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha festival.
The Federal Government has officially declared Friday, June 6th, and Monday, June 9th, 2025, as public holidays in commemoration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha festival.

This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government.
He extended heartfelt congratulations to all Muslims in Nigeria and the Diaspora, encouraging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice and faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).

Dr. Tunji-Ojo urged the Muslim community to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria. He reiterated the government’s commitment to people-oriented reforms and initiatives, which are key pillars of the Renewed Hope Agenda under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
In the announcement signed by Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, the Minister called on all citizens to support the federal government’s efforts to restore Nigeria’s greatness.
