The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly denied a social media publication falsely attributed to its National Vice Chairman (Southeast), Sir Bon Unachukwu, allegedly condemning the recent Abia Harmonisation and Unification Meeting held at Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe’s Event Centre.

In a public disclaimer issued by the party’s National Media Directorate, the ADC described the publication as “false, malicious, and the handiwork of detractors bent on causing disaffection and disunity within our great party in Abia State.”

The party emphasised that Hon. Unachukwu did not author, endorse, or support the divisive statement being circulated online. Instead, he remains committed to fostering unity, inclusiveness, and adherence to established party protocols across the Southeast.

“The ADC family in Abia State remains united, focused, and determined to expand our reach as we move closer to building the Nigeria of our collective dreams,” the statement read.

The party further urged its members and the general public to disregard the fake publication in its entirety, assuring that the falsehood would not derail the party’s forward momentum.

The full statement reads;

PUBLIC DISCLAIMER

Our attention has been drawn to a mischievous publication circulating on social media, falsely credited to Sir Bon Unachukwu, National Vice Chairman (Southeast), African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The said publication claimed that Hon. Unachukwu condemned the Abia Harmonisation and Unification Meeting held at Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe’s Event Centre. This is false, malicious, and the handiwork of detractors bent on causing disaffection and disunity within our great party in Abia State.

For the avoidance of doubt, Hon. Bon Unachukwu never authored, sponsored, or sanctioned such a divisive statement. His commitment, as National Vice Chairman (Southeast), remains the strengthening of ADC across the Southeast through unity, inclusiveness, and respect for established party protocols.

We therefore urge our teeming members and the general public to disregard the fake publication in its entirety. The ADC family in Abia State remains united, focused, and determined to expand our reach as we move closer to building the Nigeria of our collective dreams.

Let it be noted that those behind this falsehood will not succeed in derailing our movement of progress.
