Invasion of Justice Odili’s Residence: Blame Shagari – Sani Says

The Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has said that the former President of Nigeria Shehu Shagari should be blamed for the invasion of the residence of Justice Mary Odili.

The residence of the Justice of the Supreme Court, Mary Odili, at Maitama in Abuja was invaded by the security operatives with a search warrant signed by the Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna on Friday who said he was deceived into signing it by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

However, the AGF Malami denied issuing any order to the home invasion and has vowed to investigate the events surrounding the incident.

Meanwhile, in the same way of blaming antecedents of the maladministration by the present government, Sani stated that since no one is taken responsibility of the invasion, the past President Shagari can be blamed.

“All the security agencies of Government seems to deny responsibility for the invasion of the house of Justice Mary Odili.Let’s just blame the Shagari or the Shonekan’s Governments for the raid.”

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, also stated that the invasion was an orchestrated affront of the judiciary and it will not take it anymore and assured that it must get to the root of the issue.

Recall that the present administration has blamed past leaders for issues bedevilling the country. Recently, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, blamed the former President of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida, for the plunge of Naira after failing to resuscitate it.
