The Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on Northern Affairs, Ambassador Hassan Adamu has refuted any wrongful insinuation that Northerners in the state and entire South East zone are facing the threat of insecurity.

The S.A. made the refutal while fielding questions from newsmen in Owerri, recently.

According to him, Governor Uzodimma has been doing everything possible to ensure that Northerners in the state are adequately protected, as he always enquire from him and other leaders about their welfare and security.

“I also want to let them know that Governor Uzodimma is doing well on security for the Northern community in the state. We are the leaders and we are the witnesses. There is a propaganda out there about IPOB killing Hausa people. I want to make it clear that that is all lies.

“There is nothing like that happening. No Igbo man is killing us. Igbo people love us and we want the Northern people to love the Igbo in their area the same way they love us here”

The Special Adviser lauded the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for sponsoring two hundred (200) Northern Moslems living in the state for pilgrimage (Hajj), to the Holy land of Mecca.

He described the action as a great act of national unity and challenged the Nineteen Northern governors to emulate the gesture and sponsor Igbo Christians living and doing businesses in their states for pilgrimage to the Holy land of Israel and Jordan.

The United Nations Peace Ambassador used the opportunity to reassure Governor Uzodimma of the hundred percent support of Northerners living in the state for his re-election, come November 11, 2023 governorship election in the state.

“I make a promise that there is no Northern man who will vote for any other governorship candidate, than Governor Uzodimma. Anywhere governor Uzodimma goes, we will follow him”.
