Okuama Community: Three Suspects Arrested

Three suspected killers of the 17 officers of the Nigerian Army in Okuama in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have been arrested and taken into custody.

It was gathered from Vanguard that the suspects were arrested in Rivers State and moved to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Army in Asaba.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu has mandated the Defence Headquarters to fish out the people who were behind the ambush and killing of the military officers last Thursday.

The Senate, in its plenary session, also probed the killings and asked the Committee on defence, army, navy and air force to liaise with the military authorities to unravel the ‘dastardly act.’

Meanwhile, the Okuama Community has accused the military of a reprisal attack which led to the death of more than 50 persons.
