Tinubu’s Policies Have Made Nigeria Rich Again – Uzodinma

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying they have revived Nigeria’s fortunes and set the nation on a path to prosperity.

Speaking on Sunday, Uzodinma stated that President Tinubu inherited a struggling economy when he assumed office in 2023, but demonstrated the courage and vision needed to steer the country back to stability.

“Since 2023, the Asiwaju government came into office, and he met a Nigeria that was almost drowning, and what was required was a bold leader who would be able to make decisions,” Uzodinma said.

According to the governor, President Tinubu identified and tackled the “cancer that held Nigeria hostage” through decisive policy moves such as the removal of fuel subsidy, unification of the exchange rate, and the rollout of far-reaching fiscal and structural reforms.

Uzodinma added that these measures, though tough in the short term, are yielding positive results. “He took that bold decision of removing the fuel subsidy, of unifying the exchange rate, of rolling out so many reforms, and the fiscal policies that made Nigeria, which was almost broke, gradually now becoming rich again,” he said.

The governor commended Nigerians for their resilience in the face of economic adjustments, expressing optimism that the ongoing reforms would deliver sustainable growth and prosperity for all.
