Former Minister of Aviation and political commentator Femi Fani-Kayode issued a passionate statement urging Christians and Muslims to unite against what he referred to as forces “propelled by Satan.”
“They are driven by evil and wish to destroy us,” Fani-Kayode stated on X formerly called Twitter. “No one will help us, but as Christians and Muslims, we must come together and defeat these agents of destruction on our own.”
His remarks echo previous warnings regarding what he described as “Trump’s intended invasion,” a term he used to criticise foreign interference and aggression towards Nigeria.
In his latest comments, which invoke religious solidarity and moral warfare, he continues to use powerful spiritual language to address political and security issues.
Fani-Kayode emphasised that Nigerians would stand against the USA if it invaded their sovereign nation. He urged citizens to resist both external and internal threats, asserting that these threats are not about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu but rather about a patriotic response to protect the country.
He cautioned the government against relying solely on assurances from foreign officials, noting that changes in U.S. domestic politics could affect future policies towards Nigeria. He called for vigilance and strategic engagement, emphasising that conciliatory statements should not be mistaken for a definitive American position.
Additionally, he referenced a message from a correspondent who characterised Trump’s remarks as “childish and provocative,” urging Nigerians to maintain their strength in the face of any potential threats.
“The current crisis should serve as a wake-up call for our leaders and citizens to bolster our national resolve,” Fani-Kayode wrote. “Any foreign action framed as a means of protecting one community could exacerbate internal divisions.”
The former minister stressed the importance of national fortitude and collective dignity, urging Nigerians to resist narratives that undermine their unity or sovereignty.
