Actress Shan George Faults Policemen Dismissal, Recommends Punishment

Veteran Nollywood actress, Shan George has faulted the recent dismissal of policemen by the Nigeria Police Force over misconduct.

In a video on her Instagram page on Saturday, George called for another approach to correct their errors instead of stopping in dismissal.

She said, “I woke up this morning and I heard about another policeman, who has been dismissed.

“I’m thinking that it’s not a good idea to be dismissing them. You can demote, suspend, or reduce their salary but dismiss them and put them back into society as jobless people?

“A qualified policeman now back on the streets, jobless, you think about it. It’s not right please.”

Recall that a policeman has been dismissed in recent weeks for searching through a commuter’s phone while another was caught in a viral video collecting bribes from road users.
