The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a police officer named Eze Aiwansone attached to the Special Protection Unit, Base 16, Ikeja, for shooting his girlfriend, Joy Eze.

Eze has been on the run after he shot his girlfriend in the mouth on October 8th and leaving her to die at Salvation Bus Stop, Opebi, Ikeja in Lagos State.
Luckily, Joy was rushed to the hospital by good Samaritan and the hunt for Eze began.
The police Spokesperson in Lagos, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Thursday said Aiwansone, was arrested by his elder brother and handed over to the command.
The statement reads, “The state CID, Panti, has taken over the case on the instruction of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, for further investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police has however warned police personnel in Lagos State to desist from any act that can tarnish the image of the police, and be committed to the principles of community policing for better service delivery and public safety in the state.”
Joy’s younger brother stated that Joy was shot for breaking up with the police officer. According to him, when Joy told him that she was no longer interested in the abusive relationship, Eze didn’t take it well and shot Joy.
