To mark International Women’s Day, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has advocated for increased access to women education and vocational training for women.

In a series of Tweet, the 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party said that women should be given more support in business and political representation.

His tweet reads, “As the world celebrates this year’s #InternationalWomensDay, let’s take time to reflect on the roles women play in our lives as mothers, daughters, wives and sisters.
There is no better way to celebrate this day than to ensure increased access for women in education, vocational training, business finance support, and even political representation. To all the women in our world, you are dearly appreciated. #IWD2021”
