Sani Warns: “Adopted Countries Will Always Remind You You’re Not One of Them”

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Shehu Sani, has shared a pointed reflection on issues of identity, migration, and national loyalty, warning that adopted countries often remind immigrants that they do not fully belong.

In a post shared on his social media platform on Monday, Sani wrote: “You can unlove, disown or hate your country and adopt another country as your country, but the people of that country you adopted will someday remind you that their country is not your country, and they would be glad if you could just go back to your country.”

The Human Rights activist called for greater patriotism to the Nigerian State despite its numerous challenges.
