Ngige Remanded in Kuje Prison Over Alleged ₦2.2bn Corruption
Former Minister of Labour and Productivity and ex-Governor of Anambra State, Chris Ngige, has been remanded in the Kuje Correctional Centre following a court order issued on Friday.

Justice Mariam Hassan of the Federal Capital Territory High Court ordered Ngige’s remand after he was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on an eight-count charge bordering on alleged corruption involving ₦2.2 billion.
Ngige, who appeared before the court, pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Following the arraignment, Justice Hassan adjourned the case to Monday, December 15, for the hearing of Ngige’s bail application.
