‘NDC is an Agency of APC, Obi Can’t Survive Hot Kitchens’ – Melaye

A former Senator who represented Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, has said that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is an agency of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasising that the former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, who just joined the party, cannot survive ‘hot kitchens.’

“Peter Obi excused himself from tough situations. If he cannot face party tribulations and crises, how does he intend to handle Nigeria? Because Nigeria wahala pass ADC problems oooo. He can only operate in an air-conditioned kitchen. Hot kitchens are not for him.”

Speaking on X on Wednesday, Melaye, who is the Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and an ally of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, stated that Obi has always been handed a free ticket to run under a political party, citing the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ticket from which Obi became the Governor of Anambra State. He also mentioned that Alhaji Atiku gave him a free Vice Presidential ticket, while the Labour Party also provided him with a free Presidential ticket.

He accused Peter Obi of seeking free tickets and explained the reason he left the ADC.

“He has never gone through a primary; APGA gave him a free governorship ticket, Atiku provided him with a free VP ticket, and Labour gave him a free Presidential ticket. He cannot participate in primary elections, which is why he left PDP, and the reason he left ADC for another free ticket in NDC. NDC is an agency of APC.”

Recall that Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso resigned from the ADC and joined the NDC, with Obi citing that his reason for leaving was the endless court cases and the orchestrated chaos caused by external factors within the party. He also mentioned that he has the utmost respect for the leadership of the ADC and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and that his resignation is in no way related to his relationship with them.
